Checklist updates to instructions and action-on-fail settings

As part of SiteBook’s latest update we have added the ability to display custom instructions alongside your checklist questions based on user responses.

We have also added the ability to lock progression of the checklist if missing items are detected.

Checklist instructions can be used to direct a user on the required course of action when answering a question. If the user gives a certain response, you can leave instructions advising them on what to do next.

We have also added settings which can lock progression if certain items are missing from the checklist.

These include ‘action required on fail’ and a ‘missing items’ warning message.

The ‘action required on fail’ setting requires a corrective action to be logged if a user gives a ‘fail’ response to a checklist question.

For example, in a vehicle pre-start checklist, we can prevent the user from going to the next page if they have given a fail response but haven’t logged a fault.

Missing item warnings come when a user tries to access the next page with any unanswered questions.

The app will warn them that they have outstanding items, and they will not be able to progress until the questions are answered. This ensures there are no missing items in the finished checklist report.

If you are looking to update your existing checklists, or just want some of our default templates so you can get started, you can access your checklist templates from the home page under the admin tab.
