Grants from Safe Work Australia for health and safety projects

Safe Work Australia is having a national competition sponsoring between $2,000 and $20,000 grants from a funding pool of $50,000.  It will surely support great projects to improve occupational health and safety for site workers. The winning entries will receive the grants.  At the same time, there is also a big chance to win an additional $5,000 grants for People’s Choice Award.

Since October is a National Safe Work month, it is absolutely the perfect time again for all Australians to commit to building safe and healthy workplaces.  This year’s theme is “A moment is all it takes.”  

A safety Incident may happen at any time and in any workplace. However, having a commitment to take a safety moment every day in your workplace can certainly prevent harm. It can be as easy as spending five minutes stand up meeting every morning sharing your safety moment and talking with your co-workers about the hazards and risks in your workplace. It is also best to share knowledge and best practices on how to certainly prevent them.

So, act and take part now. The entrants is strictly reminded to read first the terms and conditions for entry before they get started as suggested by Safe Work Australia. Please make sure also to read the tips for a great entry.

Submission of entries is open from September 17 to October 31. You may apply online for a great chance to win and turn your best project into reality.
